Seeds of Success
This is you: sitting on the couch wondering what you’re going to do in the months ahead as you wait in anxious anticipation for the new year to start. You are qualified, but have no job. You are skilled, but unnoticed. You are grasping at straws and you think nothing is ever going to come your way … until now.
Jabulani Design Studio is offering a solution that will help you get on your feet and in turn, you will help them grow what they’ve already established. Jabulani Design Studio is a graphic and web design company based in Centurion with 17 years experience to their name. They are launching the “Seeds of Success” program. This program will be there to help you – the student, or recently qualified individual – while you don’t have full time work. You will work under the company, Jabulani Design Studio, but work on projects of your own, or assist the company with certain projects. You will earn 10% commission off a project at the very least, but that may increase depending on how much of the project you have done yourself.
The program is for final year students, or fresh graduates, and will be limited (for now) to the Pretoria/Jo’burg area. We called the program “Seeds of Success” because you, right now, are like seeds in the industry – not yet fully developed, but full of potential, containing the ability to grow until you are firmly established as solid trees in the industry. We want to help by watering the seed, by nurturing it and feeding it until it is strong enough to stand by itself.

You ask yourself: but how do I get into this program? It’s almost as easy as 1, 2, 3. There are just a few things you’ll need to do:
1.Apply. Send an email to ilse@jabulanidesignstudio.co.za with “Seeds of Success” as the subject and then mention what field you are applying for, signed off with your name. Upon doing this, you will receive an email with information regarding the next step.
2.Submit. The email you would have got in response will tell you all the items you need to submit to qualify as an applicant. Firstly, proof of your studies (3rd or final year students, or fresh graduates) and a Matric certificate. Secondly, a brief breakdown of what your studies entail (maximum 2 paragraphs). Thirdly, a motivation as to why you’d like to be part of the “Seeds of Success” program. Fourthly, you will be required to complete a specific task relevant to the field you applied for. All these items will need to be put onto a CD and delivered to Jabulani Design Studio. DO NOT EMAIL THEM.
3.Interview. This may seem scary to you, but we don’t bite. You’ll be interviewed face-to-face because we want candidates that will benefit most from this program and will ultimately help us, in doing so. The interview will be arranged only after you have submitted all necessary material.
4.Work! This is the ultimate step for you. Should you be chosen as one of the people to pioneer this program, you will start working for us. Aim high ladies and gents!
Should you reach the final, greatest step you will be able to work from home, corresponding via email, Skype or by telephone. You should be available 24/7 and you’ll be required to come in periodically so Jabulani Design Studio can monitor your progress and help you with anything that you may find challenging.

You should be warned though, that these are some characteristics you should possess before getting involved: you should be passionate and driven, hard-working, focused, naturally creative and teachable. You should be able to take criticism well, and be a good team player who’s eager to get involved wherever you can. You should possess a sense of humour (you’ll need it) and a willingness to grow. Last but not least, you should be competent in the field you have applied for (but that’s kind of obvious).
There will be a limited number of individuals that can be taken into the program at any particular time, but should someone find full time work and leave the program, the next person in line will be contacted.
As you can see, the “Seeds of Success” program is a win-win situation. We want to help you grow. This is your ticket to leave the couch and start something worthwhile – something fulfilling, something you enjoy.
